Diani Beach & Mombasa — perfectly connected

Diani Beach and Mombasa are just 30 km apart, connected by the famous Likoni Ferry — an experience in itself! The free ferry crosses Mombasa harbour in minutes with spectacular views of the old town, port and Indian Ocean.

Mombasa is Kenya's second city and the cultural heart of the coast. Visit Fort Jesus (built 1593 by the Portuguese, UNESCO World Heritage), the Old Town with narrow streets, carved doors and spice market. The famous Tusks arch over Moi Avenue since 1952.

More highlights: Haller Park (nature park with giraffes and the famous tortoise Owen), Bombolulu Workshops, Nyali Beach and vibrant nightlife.

Health: Malaria prophylaxis recommended. Only drink bottled water. Sun protection is essential — the equator is close.

Safety: Kenya is safe for tourists. Our guides accompany you everywhere. Keep valuables in hotel safes.

Tipping: Safari guide approx. 15–20 USD/day, driver approx. 10 USD/day, hotel staff 1–2 USD. Tips are greatly appreciated.

Visa: Most nationalities need an eTA (electronic Travel Authorization), applied for online. Cost approx. 30 USD.
